What we can help you plan

You do not need to choose a document before you contact us. Start with the questions you have, then explore the options that may be relevant.

Will writing

Record who should inherit, appoint executors and consider guardians for children. We can also discuss when an existing Will needs reviewing.

Lasting Powers of Attorney

Your circumstances first

A plan should fit your family, property and priorities

People often get in touch after a change at home or work. A review can help you identify the questions to address across your documents and arrangements.

  • A new relationship, separation or blended family
  • Buying or owning property, including rental property
  • Children or relatives who may need extra support
  • Running a business or planning a handover
  • Reviewing older Wills or LPAs after a life change

What happens next

From your first enquiry to a plan you understand

The conversation starts with your needs. We explain the next steps before any paid work is agreed.

  1. Tell us what matters

Share your contact details, postcode and a short description of your questions. You need not send sensitive documents through the form.

  2. We telephone you

We discuss what you need help with, check adviser availability for your postcode and agree whether to arrange an appointment.

  3. Meet at your home

Where coverage is available, an adviser visits at the pre-booked time to understand your family and existing arrangements.

  4. Understand the options

We explain the relevant Wills, LPAs, Trusts or wider planning choices in plain English, including limits and matters needing specialist advice.

  5. Decide what to do

If you wish to proceed, we explain the proposed work and costs before you commit. A complimentary initial review does not oblige you to buy.

  6. Keep plans under review

Changes in relationships, property or health may mean your arrangements need revisiting. Ask how future changes would be handled.

Appointments: We call first and arrange home visits only where adviser coverage is available for your postcode. Your appointment is confirmed with you in advance.

Who we support

Common reasons people contact us

The same documents can serve very different needs. These are starting points for a conversation, not promises of a particular outcome.

Individuals and couples

Making a first Will, arranging LPAs or reviewing plans after marriage, separation, bereavement or retirement.

Families and blended families

Thinking about children, stepchildren, future partners and how wishes can be recorded clearly.

Homeowners and landlords

Considering who should inherit property, how it is owned and whether existing documents reflect the current position.

Business owners

Connecting personal estate planning with business ownership and succession questions, with specialist input where appropriate.

Common questions

Questions to ask before deciding

Do I need a Will?

A Will lets you set out who should receive your estate and who should handle it. Without a valid Will, the intestacy rules may determine who inherits. Your circumstances matter; read more about Will writing.

What are the two types of LPA?

One covers property and financial affairs. The other covers health and welfare decisions. They have different uses and must be registered before they can be used. See our LPA guide.

Will a Trust avoid inheritance tax or care fees?

No Trust should be presented as a guaranteed way to avoid tax or care charges. The effect depends on the structure, timing, facts and applicable rules. Ask for tailored legal and tax advice where appropriate. Read about Trust planning.

Can I update my Will or LPA later?

A Will can usually be replaced or amended through the proper formalities. Changing a registered LPA may require making and registering a new one, depending on the change. Ask us to review the existing documents before deciding.

Where does the appointment take place?

We call you first. If adviser coverage is available for your postcode, we arrange a pre-booked visit at your home and confirm the details with you.

What does a Family Legacy Review cost?

The initial Family Legacy Review is complimentary. Any proposed paid work should be explained, including its cost, before you decide whether to proceed.
